Consumer preferences about the color of egg yolks vary by region.

Egg yolk colors range wildly from soft yellow to dark orange depending on the hen's diet. In general, the more carotenoids a hen consumes in its daily diet, the darker the egg yolk color. Thus, carotenoids with strong antioxidant properties are often added to hen's daily diet to enhance nutritional value and deepen egg yolk color.

We provide β-Carotene and Canthaxanthin FG product series that can be used as feed additives for hens to create more reddish orange egg yolk color.
