Introduction
Lycopene is found mainly in tomato, grapefruit, watermelon and pink guava. It is a powerful quencher of singlet oxygen, being 100 times more efficient than Vitamin E in in-vitro study. Lycopene offers a broad range of red shades and can be used as a nutrient for food, dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products.
